Adebayo Oyegoke – Graduate Chemical Engineer

After completing my master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Aston University I joined Consort’s two-year graduate scheme. I was attracted to Consort because I have always had an interest in the pharmaceutical industry and I want to use my engineering background in the manufacturing of useful drugs to help others.

“My proudest achievement is completing my degree with a 2.1 and obtaining a graduate role immediately”

Consort Medical’s graduate programme is unique as you are able to tailor your scheme to your own interests. I have spent my first year working on the API manufacturing plant and the practical element of the job the most enjoyable. I go around the plant learning about the equipment and solving mechanical problems. The main challenge of the role is to react quickly when things suddenly stop which can sometimes be demanding but I get a real sense of accomplishment when we get the job done.

“There are opportunities to travel to one of the company’s sites abroad”

Consort have a friendly and results driven environment that is suitable for motivated individuals. Working for Consort has inspired me to want to help provide life changing pharmaceutical products globally for years to come.
